Ray joined the office in March of 2011, and specializes in all lines of insurance. He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance business, and the largest Nationwide Ag Elite Certified producer in South Dakota. Ray and his wife Rhonda, live in rural Mitchell and have seven children.
Amy focuses on Farm, Commercial, Livestock, Personal, and Life Insurance and has completed her Master Farm Certification with Nationwide Agribusiness. She is a graduate of the University of South Dakota. She is the third generation of Angus breeders at Bussmus Angus & OL Bussmus Farms, which gives her the cutting edge for her work today.
Chris joined the office in October of 2020. He served in the United States Navy as an Interior Communications Specialist for six years. He then moved on to obtain an Associate’s Degree from Mitchell Tech. Later on, he worked at Custom Genetic Solutions as a handler. Chris grew up on his family farm and continues to be in the cattle industry today. Chris currently lives in Mitchell, SD and is licensed in Life, Health, Property and Casualty, and Crop insurance.
Brea handles commercial Insurance. She was born and raised in Winner, SD and graduated from Chadron States College. Brea lives in Mitchell with her husband, Brian and son, Bodhi.
Kristen is the Livestock CSR and helps with Farm processing. Kristen grew up in Nashville, Indiana and has lived in Mt Vernon, SD since 2012. She is a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University with a degree in business. Kristen and her family enjoy camping, fishing, kayaking, and hunting. Kristen is licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance.
Colton joined the office in May of 2021 and focuses on Farm, Commercial, Livestock, Crop and Personal Insurance. He grew up on the family ranch near Plankinton and he enjoys lending a hand in his free time. He obtained an Associate’s Degree in Ag Business from Mitchell Tech.
Eric focuses on Farm, Commercial & Personal along with Life & Health. He started selling insurance in 2020 & has been going non-stop ever since. Eric is a practical jokester and you’re guaranteed to laugh anytime he is around. He was born in Gregory, SD; raised in Hamill, SD & now resides in Platte, SD. Eric has his Property & Casualty license as well as, his Life & Health license.
Nikki joined the office in September 2022 & she is a Personal Lines CSR. Nikki is originally from Iowa, but has lived in rural Parkston, SD for 25 years with her husband, Chad. They have 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Nikki has her property & casualty license.
Ryan joined the office in April 2023. He has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, and his main area of focus is personal lines. He has his Property and Casualty license and is a graduate of the University of South Dakota. Ryan enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and attending sporting events & concerts.
Brenda joined the office in October of 2024. She is the Claims Manager and has a lot of experience with farm, commercial, liability, home, and auto claims. Brenda has her Property and Casualty license, and she isn't afraid to tackle any type of claim and see it through start to finish. Brenda lives on a farm south of Plankinton with her boyfriend Scott and has 2 grown children.
Ally joined the office in February 2024. She helps on the livestock side along with a little bit on the personal lines side. Ally grew up in Mitchell where she is attending Mitchell Technical College & majoring in Ag Business. She enjoys riding horses in her free time along with spending time with family and friends. Ally is licensed in Property and Casualty.
Virginia joined our office in January 2025 and has been a licensed producer since 2015. She specializes in Farm, Personal, Livestock and Commercial. She is a graduate of Dickinson State University. Virginia grew up on her family’s Angus ranch in St. Anthony, ND where she currently resides with Jared and their son Keiffer.
Kate joined the office in February 2025. She has her property and casualty license and works with livestock, commercial, and farm lines. Kate grew up in Madison where she works with her family on their farm. She is currently attending Mitchell Technical College and majoring in Ag Business. In her free time, she enjoys working at home with her family, riding horse, and spending time with her friends.
Elizabeth joined the agency in March of 2025. She is a personal & farm CSR. She grew up in Hendricks, MN, but moved to Mitchell for college with her now Fiancé, Cody. They have a dog, Lady. In her free time, she enjoys all things agriculture, wedding planning, and spending time with her friends & family. Elizabeth is licensed in Property & Casualty, as well as Life & Health.
Courtney joined the office in March of 2025. She is a Personal Lines & Farm CSR. Courtney grew up in Mitchell and now resides near Platte. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and she loves to golf. Courtney has her Property and Casualty license.
Mandy joined the office in April of 2025. She grew up in Chamberlain, SD and moved to Mitchell in 2008 for college, where she has resided ever since with her husband Brandon and their son Cordell. They live just outside Fulton, SD where they have built their farm and ranching operation. Mandy's free time still consists of something to do with cattle or crops, but outside of that, she spends as much of her time as she can with family and friends. Mandy has her Property and Casualty license and works with Farm, Livestock and Commercial clients.
